"Stewardship is the ability to share one's gifts of life, time, talents and resources with others with no strings attached and no conditions."
--the late Archbishop Thomas Murphy, Seattle
OLMC is a Stewardship Parish, meaning that our parish depends upon the gifts of time, talent and treasure, from all registered parishioners. We faithfully ask that each registered parish family prayerfully consider donating to our Sunday Offertory either by use of church envelopes or through OLMC's Online Giving. As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace.
1 Peter 4:10
Prayerfully Discern How You Can Serve One Another
God has given you everything!
Everything we own in this world! Our job and income are ours only because God has given it to us! When we tithe we are giving back to God a small portion that belongs to Him!
You are surrendering!
Not only are we giving back to God but we are also surrendering ourselves to God, we are not hiding anything from Him. If we hold back our money from Him we are holding back ourselves from Him.
Placing your faith in God.
When you give your money to a charity you are trusting God to continue to provide for your family. The simple fact is: You cannot out-give God. You will be better off financially giving away 10% and living off 90% than keeping everything and going at life alone!
Saving Souls!
When there is a war, not everyone is able to be a soldier and fight the battles. We need people who are funding the war, rationing food and materials, and helping the soldiers do their duty!
That is what is happening when you are tithing! You are contributing to the battle for souls! The Church, its ministries, and other charities need our support since they are our soldiers on the frontline!
