Dear Parents,
Thank you for looking into our Middle School Programs here at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. We're excited to walk the journey of faith with your middle school teen and your family! This can be a tough time for a lot of teens, and it's good for them to have a place to grow in faith and love for the Lord in the fellowship of their peers.
Our middle school ministry follows the “Ecclesial Method,” incorporating the Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send format:
- Gather: Fellowship and prayer.
- Proclaim: Dynamic presentations of the Catholic faith and the Gospel with personal faith testimonies.
- Break: Small Christian communities explore the topic through discussions and activities.
- Send: We're sent forth to live the Gospel in our daily lives.
The ecclesial method offers a hands-on approach to learning the faith. We incorporate faith testimony, catechesis, discussion, and group activities that are intended to help young people encounter Jesus Christ and experience the invitation to follow His way of life.
Our middle school programs offer youth the opportunity to grow as mature Christian disciples and be authentic witnesses to God's truth, goodness, and beauty in the world.
We have lots of opportunities to get involved in the middle school youth ministry. From our weekly programs, like EDGE and DIVE, to annual retreats, and different adventures for the teens. We also offer opportunities for parents of middle school teens to build community with other parents. Please visit our other middle school pages to see some of the things we offer.
