Fr. Richard has asked that we pray the Memorare as our country works through this coronavirus pandemic.Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

I talked with a parishioner yesterday who suggested that saying a prayer to St Michael the Archangel would also be beneficial right now. Here it is too. She was remembering when we prayed it at the end of each mass. We cannot attend mass right now, except on TV, radio or the internet.knightsoftheholyeucharist.com/ memorare-prayer-download/ Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. I had to look up the word "pandemic", just because, noun, pan·dem·ic | \ pan-ˈde-mik: an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area and affects an exceptionally high proportion of the population : a pandemic outbreak of a disease. https://www.merriam-catholicfaithandreason.org/ prayer-to-st-michael-the- archangel.html webster.com/dictionary/ pandemic . I am working from home since I am at high risk for complications if I become I'll due to my lung problems. I am grateful to OLMC and the Diocese for making this possible for me. I have access to email so can answer your questions here - when we have answers. And, I have to remember to check my voice mail remotely, in case you call. There are staff staying at work in the office, but you are asked NOT to come into the office unless you schedule an appointment first. We want to protect our staff and the priests as much as we want you to be protected too. The doors are locked so no one wanders in and out. The Parish office phone number is: 317-846-3475. Right now, all the department heads have been extremely busy every day, brainstorming, praying and mapping out how to keep in touch with you all during this strange time. Please watch the OLMC1.org website for updates and read the emails you receive. IF YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING EMAILS WITH THE OBSERVER, THEN YOU ARE NOT ON THE PARISH EMAIL LIST and will not see all the neat things that are happening. Just being at home for a couple days I feel my life slowing down. I hope you are feeling a respite from sports practices, violin and dance lessons, and traveling.
I know there are tons of questions as to what will happen for classes, what about First Communion stuff, will we make up retreats, etc. Be assured, Leighton Drake, our Children's Faith Formation Director, is working on the best approach to all of this and will let us know after decisions are made. Unfortunately, we don't know how successful this attempt to slow the coronavirus will be, and when we will be free to move about again. It may be awhile before some decisions can be made.

This lesson offers prevention and mitigation techniques based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance and includes a faith component to remind children of God’s unconditional love for them.
